The Spring Valley Web Cams have been in operation
since 1996 and serving up images of picturesque Spring Valley from
the back balcony of Advanced Consulting Business Computer Services. The
Cam is located on the backside of Dictionary Hill, facing South
East, towards the Sweetwater Reservoir. Around 1000 people a day
come to see what the Cam has to show.
In
Dec 2007 the old wincam
was put back in the orginal box it came in. It was water-logged more than once, but
always dried out enough to keep on snapping.
The new Cam was installed in Dec 2007 and set up 20 feet higher than the last.
It has a great picture. This new Cam moves around to preset locations
snapping and uploading 24/7. If the Coronado Islands aren't covered in fog, you should be able to see them during daylight hours.
The new cam is a Toshiba IK-WB15A IP Network Camera. It sends images, receives power,
and is controled by using power over ethernet (PoE) technology. The image
currently refreshes every 30 seconds.
If you would like to purchase ad space to help towards our next cam, please feel free to contact us at The Office
for more information.
